Session Details:
Participants gathered at the venue after the environmental sanitation exercise, making it a well-attended event. The session commenced at 11 am with an opening prayer and the singing of the Itsekiri anthem. Emmanuel Egbe provided a brief recap of the previous session, refreshing everyone’s memory of the business ideas that were previously discussed.
The book review segment started with Team Giniwa, led by Laju Faulkner, who demonstrated her commitment to the NextGen project by requesting to review her book before attending a family function. She delivered a thorough review, and other team members followed suit, each taking their turn to present their book reviews.
Throughout the presentations, participants attentively took notes and prepared questions related to the stories being discussed. After each review, a lively Q&A session ensued, with participants eagerly asking questions and seeking clarifications. Emmanuel Egbe, seated with the presenters, also actively engaged in the discussions, browsing through each book as he posed additional questions.
Encouragingly, more participants expressed their interest in reading books and sharing their thoughts during the book review sessions.
Apart from the book reviews, participants engaged in brief one-on-one discussions with the assigned volunteers to prepare for an upcoming elevator pitch session based on specific tasks assigned to them by Temisan Ereku.
