Summary
This was the first book review session in 2023. The participants arrived with so much enthusiasm, particularly after the excitement created by the previous sessions in 2023. After reading the books, the participants happily came out to talk about the books.
Session Delivery
Emmanuel Egbe did a quick recap of the previous session. This was done after the national anthem and the opening prayer. The participants were enthusiastic as it was the first book review of the year.
Books were given out to participants after the recap of our last session. Some of them read as a team, while a few read individually. They read and discussed the books among themselves until it was time for the review.
Omatsola Okpeyeaghan anchored the review. He called out the participants according to their team.
It was encouraging to see those who do not usually come out for review do so this time around. Their self-confidence and esteem are coming alive daily.
The facilitator made them do a review of each book and asked them questions, after which they talked about the lessons and new words learnt.
At the end of each review, questions were thrown to the general participants. Some questions were answered correctly. However, some got it correct after a few attempts.
