Summary:
The session aimed to reinforce one of the project’s core visions: to nurture participants into avid readers and future leaders.
Session Delivery:
Participants arrived promptly after the environmental sanitation, engaging in conversations until the session began.
Upon starting, the coordinator organized the seating by teams. Jolomi Tedeye led the opening prayer, followed by a participant singing the melodious Itsekiri anthem.
Emmanuel Egbe provided a quick recap of the previous session.
Then, Jolomi Tedeye took charge of the book review session. The designated librarian of the day managed book distribution and registration, ensuring orderliness.
Once everyone settled with their books, the review commenced. Participants were called based on the registration list.
The reward system from the last review session encouraged more participation, with younger members making attempts and older ones delivering insightful reviews.
Both the coordinator and Jolomi Tedeye posed questions to the reviewers, fostering engagement and critical thinking.
The session witnessed increased participation in book reviews, which was encouraging to see.
