Session Delivery

Despite the heavy rain, participants eagerly gathered for the movie day, excited to watch “Annie.” Although Debi Amadedon’s late arrival delayed the start, the attendees were captivated by the film. As they watched, they displayed various emotions, smiling and reacting to key moments.

The movie tells the story of Annie, a bright and optimistic foster child living with her abusive foster mother, Miss Hannigan, in New York City. After saving a young boy from an accident, Annie’s life intersects with Will Stacks, a mayoral candidate, who takes her in to boost his public image. As they spend time together, Stacks grows fond of Annie, but Miss Hannigan and Stacks’ campaign manager, Guy, conspire to sabotage their relationship.

 They falsely claim Annie’s parents have been found, but the truth is eventually revealed. Stacks finds Annie, exposes the deception, and decides to adopt her. The film concludes with Annie finding happiness with Stacks, who wins the election and becomes a better person thanks to her influence.

Annie’s story showcases the transformative power of optimism and resilience. Despite facing adversity, her positivity inspires those around her, including Will Stacks, and ultimately leads to a brighter future. Her character reminds us that hope and determination can overcome challenges.

Annie’s kindness and compassion towards others, despite being mistreated, serve as a powerful reminder of the importance of empathy, kindness, and respect. Her character sets an example for viewers to treat everyone with dignity and understanding, regardless of their circumstances or behavior.
