Session Delivery
The digital book review session was an engaging experience, with each team assigned a story to review. The participants watched intently, aware that a series of questions would follow. The four stories featured were designed for children, aiming to impart valuable lessons through imaginative narratives. Here’s a brief overview of each story’s theme:
- Does A Bear Poo In The Wood?: This story explores self-awareness, honesty, and acceptance, encouraging children to be true to themselves.
- Think Big: This tale promotes ambition, confidence, and a growth mindset, inspiring children to dream big and take on new challenges.
- The Cowpoke Who Swallowed An Ant: This story teaches problem-solving skills and critical thinking, cautioning against creating more problems while trying to solve one.
- Fish Don’t Go To School: This narrative addresses courage, overcoming shyness, and managing nervous feelings, helping children build confidence and self-esteem.

Following the stories, Debi Amadedon posed questions to each team. The teams that struggled to answer correctly allowed other teams to earn bonus points. This interactive format not only tested the teams’ understanding but also highlighted the importance of these stories in teaching children essential life lessons, values, and social skills.
