Session Delivery

To commemorate Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary, a special session was held on October 4th, where participants showcased their creative writing skills. Each participant was tasked with writing a unique essay on a topic of their choice, exploring themes such as independence, culture, geography, ethnicity, and resources. The participants conducted thorough research and presented their work, providing critical analysis and insights.

The presentations were impressive, with each participant bringing their unique perspective to the table. The coordinator provided constructive feedback on each presentation, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement. While some participants excelled, others showed potential but needed to work on specific aspects, such as Tosan Ejuogharan, who delivered a beautiful presentation but overlooked the Itsekiri culture in her discussion on Nigerian tribes.

One standout presentation was by 11-year-old Joshua Boyo, who poignantly highlighted the paradox of Nigeria’s wealth in oil resources and the challenges faced by its citizens. His thought-provoking analysis sparked meaningful discussions and reflections.

The event demonstrated the creativity, critical thinking, and passion of the participants, and it was clear that they had thoroughly enjoyed the experience. With continued guidance and support, these young individuals have the potential to become outstanding leaders and change-makers in their communities.
