Session Delivery
Leveraging AI in Application Design: A Hands-on Experience
Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming industries and redefining human-technology interactions. Our recent ICT lesson showcased the potential of AI-assisted coding in designing applications. We utilized ChatGPT, a conversational AI, and CodePen, a web-based code editor, to create a mobile calculator and snake game.

Mobile Calculator
We designed a mobile calculator to perform basic arithmetic operations. ChatGPT generated initial HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code, which we refined and customized using CodePen. The calculator features:
– User-friendly interface
– Real-time calculations
– Error handling mechanisms
Snake Game
Our snake game provides an entertaining experience. ChatGPT assisted in generating game logic and collision detection mechanisms, while CodePen enabled the creation of a responsive game interface. The game features:
– Scoring system
– Collision detection
– Smooth gameplay
This project demonstrates the potential of AI-assisted coding and web-based development tools. By simplifying coding and debugging complexities, AI enables novice programmers to achieve excellence. Our experience highlights the exciting possibilities at the intersection of AI, coding, and application design.
