Session Delivery
This month’s book review took an exciting turn, courtesy of Mr. Wyse’s innovative approach. Participants selected books from Emmanuel, the librarian, and settled in for a reading session. As they finished reading, they took turns sharing their reviews, which Mr. Wyse followed up with insightful analyses.
Each participant highlighted new vocabulary and lessons learned from their chosen book. Besinfe Etuwewe’s review stood out, focusing on Abraham Lincoln’s remarkable legacy:
Lincoln is revered as a martyr and national hero for his wartime leadership, preservation of the Union, and abolition of slavery. He’s consistently ranked as one of America’s greatest presidents. His achievements include:
– Successfully navigating a political struggle and civil war to preserve the Union
– Ending slavery and paving the way for civil and social freedom for African-Americans

Tragically, Lincoln’s life was cut short by an assassination at Ford’s Theatre on April 14, 1865.
It was such a historic session.
