Summary

Team leads and assistants were elected to rule over the affairs of their team. The free and fair election was done after the manifesto was done by each aspirant.

Session Delivery

The Itsekiri NextGen election session was a resounding success – free, fair, and transparent.  Aspirants showcased their leadership potential, sharing compelling manifestos and promises to elevate their teams. The coordinator emphasized the importance of getting involved, citing inspiring examples of impactful leaders who drove positive change.

The voting process was smooth, with participants casting their ballots and counting conducted by representatives from each team.  The result goes thus;

– Team Ikenwoli: Rosemary (lead), Joy (assistant)

– Team Olu Atuwatse II: Emmanuel (winner), Laju (assistant)

– Team Olu Erejuwa II: Laju Faulkner (winner), Sholya (assistant) – kudos on the best manifesto!

– Team Olu Ginuwa II: Tosan Okandeji (winner), Ijeoma (assistant) – after a nail-biting rerun!

A valuable experience for all, and a testament to the power of youth leadership. Elections will be held every four months – stay tuned!
