Itsekiri NextGen is proud to be guided by a distinguished Steering Committee composed of accomplished individuals dedicated to empowering the next generation of Itsekiri leaders. These individuals bring a wealth of experience in diverse fields, including education, business, community and socio-cultural development. Their strategic guidance and unwavering commitment are instrumental in shaping the direction and ensuring the success of this transformative project.
The Steering Committee’s key responsibilities include:
- Strategic Oversight: Guiding the overall vision, strategy, and implementation of Itsekiri NextGen programs.
- Program Development: Contributing expertise to designing and developing impactful programs that address the needs and aspirations of Itsekiri youngsters.
- Resource Mobilisation: Leveraging their networks and influence to secure funding, partnerships, and resources to support the initiative.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Overseeing the progress of Itsekiri NextGen, ensuring accountability, and measuring the impact of our programs.
- Advocacy and Outreach: Championing the cause of Itsekiri NextGen and raising awareness about the importance of investing in the future of Itsekiri youth.
Meet the Steering Committee
Dr Fredrick O. Pessu
Chair
Dr Fredrick is a teacher/scientist/lecturer. He is an expert in Corrosion Science and Engineering, University of Leeds. He has interests in youth and community development, and programs targeted at empowering the next generation of youths.
Ojoyi Fredrick-Pessu
Member
Mrs Ojoyi is a Senior Information Analyst for public health development and policies. She has an interest in child and young adult development. She is a lover of education.
Norris Orighoye
Operations
Engr Norris is an experienced project manager and business analyst. He has a strong passion for youth development, and he has been involved in delivering various educational and mentorship projects.
Edun Oritsesholaye Agnes
Member
Mrs Oritsesholaye is an experienced Business Development Officer. She is also a freelance media content producer, Editor and Writer.
She is very passionate about the development of teenagers and brings to the team a wealth of experience working with teens.
