Summary
It was a movie session where an inspiring movie titled October sky was displayed for the participants to learn from.
Session Delivery
The movie day session featured the inspiring film “October Sky.” The session aimed to motivate and empower young participants through the true story of perseverance and passion. The movie was a real life story.
Homer and his friends defied expectations, pursuing their passion for rocketry with the guidance of a dedicated teacher. Despite obstacles, they built and launched rockets, competing in a science fair and securing college scholarships. The participants were captivated, leaving with a renewed sense of determination and confidence in their own potential.
The participants watched with keen interest and much enthusiasm. The intrigued, the suspect and The movie motivated them in so many ways. They are certain to be able to achieve any good thing they set their mind to do.
At regular intervals, the participants came out to review the movie. Toju Ogharandukun asked some salient questions they were smart to give the right answers simply because they were attentive and focused.











They went home with some key take aways which are;
- The importance of pursuing one’s passion despite obstacles
- The impact of dedicated mentorship and support
- The value of resilience and determination in overcoming challenges
The session was engaging, and participants were visibly inspired, leaving with a renewed sense of confidence and motivation to achieve their goals.
