Art and Craft Session at Itsekiri NextGen
The session commenced with opening prayers and the singing of the Itsekiri anthem, setting a positive tone for the day’s activities. The coordinator recapped the previous brain teasers session, bringing smiles to everyone’s faces as they reminisced about the fun and challenges.
Debi Amadedon, the facilitator, introduced the art and craft session, providing materials such as:
– *Embossed Cardboard*: For added texture and design
– *Glitter Paper*: To add a touch of sparkle
– *Glue*: For assembling the cards
– *Colors*: Various types to inspire creativity
The task was to create DIY affirmation cards, with participants encouraged to choose their own words and designs. Some examples were displayed on screen for inspiration. The facilitator explained the process, mentioning that the best design would receive a prize.

As participants worked on their projects, Omatsola Okpeayaghan and the facilitator offered guidance and support. The room was filled with creativity and excitement as unique designs emerged. The hands-on session was engaging and fostered a sense of responsibility among participants, who took pride in their creations.
This art session aligns with Itsekiri NextGen’s efforts to nurture creativity and self-expression in young people.
